This pouch pattern is designed to go everywhere with you. The adjustable belt loops on this pouch allow it to be worn in so many ways and places. Use on the waist belt of your baby carrier, belt, stroller, or shopping cart. Add strap(s) becomes a wristlet, a shoulder bag, or cross-body bag. It fits all the major baby carrier brands. It is the perfect size to fit your essentials.

This file includes pattern pieces, instructions, and a photo tutorial for a Flap Top or Zipper Top closure, using the same body pattern pieces. This pattern is also available in a large “stroller size” and a medium “babywearing size”, but all of them can be used on a baby carrier, stroller, or as a purse.

A pouch with belt loops on the center back can be uncomfortable for some people, as the pouch may poke your hip, belly, or both. This pouch has adjustable belt loops, which allow the pouch to hang down for you comfort. Smaller babywearers may only have a small amount of waist belt webbing exposed, so these belt loops are also long enough to go over the padded section of the waist belt, which is also great for anyone using a front-carry.

Can’t decide which kind of belt loops you want? You don’t have to! Just place the snaps as recommended in the pattern and all options are built right in. In addition, you can choose to add D rings to the belt loops and make two short straps to hang it from your carrier’s shoulder straps or make a long strap which to turn it into a shoulder or small cross-body bag.

The finished size of the smaller pouch is 9” wide x 4” tall x 2” deep at the base. The flap bag holds more due to the open top, despite being the same size. If you add tabs to the end of your zipper, the opening will be smaller

What fits in the Mini Pouch:

  • Cell phone, disposible diaper, Epi-Pen
  •  Epi-Pen 2-Pack or AUVI-Q 2-Pack & Inhaler
  • A big wallet
  • 2 size 3 diapers, iPhone 6+ in case
  • Full size sunblock, small hand sanitizer, lip gloss, fruit snacks, sample size lotion.

You can be as creative with this pattern as you desire: use different fabrics inside and out, add trim or embroidery, add interior pockets or dividers, make it out of PUL or Nylon for a water resistant “Wet Bag”. The possibilities are endless!
