It’s hard to hide this amount of cute! Carrots are great as part of spring with Easter decorations, then in the summer they work for farm themed displays as well as play kitchens and in the winter these carrots could be for Santa’s reindeer or a Snowman. I love growing heritage rainbow carrots, now I get to sew a rainbow of carrots too.
These stuffed carrots come in three sizes, Mini, Medium, and Jumbo! What size will you make? My kids are still fighting over the jumbo one, I guess I’ll have to make another.
Mini Carrots
To make the Mini carrots you only need two 6″ squares of fabric. You can choose to make one plump carrot or two skinny ones. The finished size is 4.5″ long (11.5cm) with the plump carrot being 5.25” (13.3cm) around, and the skinny one being 3.25” (8.3cm ) around. The slender mini carrot is a great scale for an 18″ doll. Find them in the Fabric Ninja Free Resource Library.
Medium Carrots
The Medium Carrot launch as part of the Cricut Craftfest early in 2024. You can find out more information about that here.
Jumbo Carrot
Everyone is certain to comment on this Jumbo Carrot Stuffie on display. This comically large carrot can be cut by hand or made on the 12×24 Cricut mat and uses almost every inch of fabric. The finished size is about 20” (51cm) long and 19” (48cm) around. Now that’s one BIG carrot.
This carrot would make a great baby / kid photo prop. Easter bunnies deserve a carrot this big for sure. Are you ready to make a cute and cuddly vegetable friend? Check out the Jumbo Carrot video tutorial below.
