Yawn…Car rides make me tired, but I hate waking up with a stiff neck. Let’s make a neck pillow for your next road or plane trip. Sewing a neck pillow is a beginner-friendly sewing project which can be done with a machine or by hand, and it makes a great gift.
This travel neck pillow is designed for easy cutting and assembly. If you are cutting by hand, you can choose the One-Piece pattern that is cut-on-the-fold, or the Wedge-Shaped pattern for fun color blocking.
If you are using a cutting machine, like a Cricut, you have some options as well. If you have a large 12” x 24” mat you can use the Two-Piece pattern that has a center seam line. Smaller mats will need to use the Wedge-Shaped pattern, but you may wish to use this for color blocking, even if you have a larger mat.
For either cutting method, pick one for the top and one for the bottom, you can use a different option for each.
All options includes an adjustable snaps, so that you can size the pillow perfectly to your body for a comfortable snooze.
Finished size: 13” x 11” (33 x 28 cm) with an 18” (46 cm) neck hole adjustable down to about 14” (36 with the snaps.
