#1029 Baby Carrier Bib: Reversible Bib/Headrest Cover for the Ergo 360
A Few Notes From The Ninja:
This pattern pieces you need to make your own Headrest Bib that will fit your Ergo 360 baby carrier, with your choice of 1/2 inch or 1 cm seam allowance options. Patterns are hand drafted and then digitized. Lines are clean and crisp, with clear professional markings and a symbol key. Printable on 8.5″ x 11″ or A4 paper.

This pattern has three pieces. Piece A is short, it just covers the headrest. Piece B is long, it adds extra protection, particularly when your baby is forward-facing. Piece C is an optional snap tab for a side closure, instead of a pull-over. A snap side is a great option if you don’t want to hand sew the edges together. Personally, I prefer the pull-over option. This pattern is reversible!

You can use any combination of these pieces to make your perfect bib. The most commonly made combo is the Short/Long or AB bib; think “mullet”. This is perfect if you ever forward-face. When the headrest is down, the long side B wraps over the top edge and tucks between your baby and the carrier. This protects the top edge from drool. You may also want to make suck pads to protect your straps. I’ve included a Free pattern for straight suck pads, so you have everything you need.

Got a super drooler? You can also choose to use PUL or other waterproof fabric inside or as the backing for ultimate carrier protection You can be as creative with this pattern as you desire: add trim or embroidery, go off pattern and add pockets, or make it out of satin or slippery fabric to keep your little one’s curls from being mussed. The possibilities are endless!
