Description
This is a quick and easy reversible slipcover that sews up in about 1 hour. It is made from ONE pattern piece so it’s great for large scale prints, wrap scrap, embroidery, or panel prints. Each side only uses a fat quarter of fabric. Show off the fabric you love!
Most test sewers rate this as a easy or confident beginner pattern. Every pattern your buy includes support from the Ninja. I’m here to help. Also visit Fabric Ninja Sewing Circle on Facebook
I like to use beautiful quilter cotton, but there are so many great fabrics out there. Flannel or fleece are great for making your Airflow ready for winter. Using Nylon or similar water resistant material can protect your carrier from getting very wet on a rainy day. Knits can be used too. This slipcover only covers the body of the carrier. If you would like headrest protection you can make a separate bib, or use the more structured 3-Panel slipcover which includes a headrest cover. \
The 3-Panel slipcover is particularly great if you have a carrier with mesh, as you can make the center section of the slipcover from mesh, as well. You can also use the headrest pattern piece from the 3-panel slipcover pattern with the EZ-LB pattern.
This pattern is just begging for your personalization, so go off pattern and go crazy. Some things you might want to add include: hoodie style pocket to keep your hands warm; add a seam down the center and sew in dino spikes; add ruffles all along the butt section; heat transfer vinyl design, machine or hand embroidery, appliqué, bat wings, etc. It’s ideal for decorating to make a Halloween costume for your carrier.
